Hello, my name is Derek Diehl, the owner of Derek Diehl's Laminating. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about myself and how I got started​.
I began doing relaminate work in 2005. Before that I was working in the retail grocery business for nearly 20 years. A master carpenter friend of mine knew I wanted to get out of retail and asked if I had ever done cabinet work before, well of course I hadn't. So I took a week's vacation to observe him working and to see if this would be something I would be interested in. Soon I left the retail business and began working along with him. Well, in 3 years the market crashed and he didn't have enough work to support the both of us, so I ventured out on my own with the knowledge I had accumulated.
And here I am today, happy to be doing something I enjoy. Seeing smiles on customer's faces and hearing them say "this is exactly what I wanted, I Love It!", is truly satisfying. I would like to offer you a chance to have that same feeling. Starting with a consultation, we can meet either in person or by means of video conferencing, like Zoom or Facetime because of COVID-19.
